Biography

Zhou Yu, MD, works at the Department of Perineal Plastic Surgery and Gender Reassignment, Beijing Badachu Plastic Surgery Hospital. He graduated from Peking Union Medical College and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He currently works at the Gynecological Plastic Surgery Center of the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. He has published multiple SCI and domestic core journal articles, completed three research projects, and co-authored five books. His main areas of focus are male and female intimate repair and reconstruction (such as vaginal reconstruction using oral mucosal micrografts, correction of intersex anomalies, and diagnosis and treatment of transsexualism) and gynecological aesthetic plastic surgery (such as vaginal tightening, labia minora reduction, hymenoplasty, and labia majora augmentation).
